This experiment is for Advanced Students. We’re going to really get a good feel for energy and power as it shows up in real life. For this experiment, you need:

  • Something that weighs about 100 grams or 4 ounces, or just grab an apple.
  • A meter or yard stick

This might seem sort of silly but it’s a good way to get the feeling for what a Joule is and what work is.

  1. Sorry for the confusion! When you go through the program by Grade Level instead of by Topic, please request the grade level you’d like unlocked for you. This is a newer area of the program and at this time, we still need to manually unlock the grade levels you request in order to give you access to the content. Thank you!

This lesson is catogorized as “7th grade energy” but when I clicked on it, a message said “This section contains advanced content.
Unfortunately it looks like you don`t currently have access to it
Please note that this may be grade 9-12 content and you are only enrolled in the K-8 program. Just contact us if you would like to upgrade.”
I don’t have access to 9-12 but why was it under 7th grade science?
