Here is a list of the main scientific concepts students learn in fourth grade! These science concepts are organized into categories. To start, just click on any link. You can do these in any order at any pace that's right for you.

Energy Explore several different energy concepts, including the dynamics behind sound waves and the energy that allows a bobsled or roller coaster to slide down a hill as we play with kinetic and potential energy. You’ll soon discover how energy is converted into one form or another, and that energy is not created or destroyed, but rather it changes forms.
Electricity An electrifying course that teaches the big ideas behind Faraday and Maxwell’s ground-breaking work. You will discover how to design and test circuits, detect electric charge, learn about electrochemistry as you construct batteries, play with the static electric field, and uncover the mysterious forces that redefined the entire field of chemistry and physics when they were first discovered.
Magnetism A comprehensive course that teaches the big ideas behind Maxwell’s Principles. You'll discover how to detect magnetic poles and magnetic fields, learn about electromagnetism as they construct motors, generators, doorbells and earphones, and uncover the mysterious link between electricity and magnetism that marks one of the biggest discoveries of all science, ever.
Life Science Discover the primary source of matter and energy in food chains, learn about herbivores, carnivores, omnivores, and decomposers and how they are related in food chains and food webs, and how decomposers like fungi, insects, and microorganisms recycle matter from dead plants and animals.
Earth Science Investigate the wild word of rocks and minerals by discovering igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks as well as quartz, calcite, feldspar, mica, hornblende and ore minerals using diagnostic experiments that real field scientists use!
