  1. You actually don’t need to boil the turmeric, but you do need to boil the water and add the turmeric while the water is still hot. Be sure that you use distilled water. Be sure to stir the solution as you add the turmeric. You want the water to turn bright yellow.

    we made our own goldenrod paper and the fingerprints didn’t show up like a red color it just looked like water on paper so how long do you boil the turmeric for

  5. We found that the Goldenrod Paper is very expensive for 1 lesson, so we made our own today. We will see if it works tomorrow when we give this experiment a try.
