Sadly, most kids get scared off too soon with math courses that don’t make a lot of sense. For the kids who do make it to calculus, this is the class that will finally finish them off without hesitation, and they’ll never look back at math being useful or interesting ever again.
Let’s take a real look at how math is the language of science, and calculus is only one of the tools (albeit a big one) in the box. These two videos here are actually part of a much larger series of math-science videos in my official physics online course, but I’ve selected these two so you can really see how and what calculus is used for.
