Plants need light, water, and soil to grow. If you provide those things, you can make your own greenhouse where you can easily observe plants growing. Here’s a simple experiment on how to use the stuff from your recycling bin to make your own garden greenhouse.

We’ll first look at how to make a standard, ordinary greenhouse. Once your plants start to grow, use the second part of this experiment to track your plant growth. Once you’ve got the hang of how to make a bottle garden, then you can try growing a carnivorous greenhouse.

No need to remove soil from the roots. That may damage the roots. The water needs to be mineral free. Rain water is okay as long as it is collected in a clean container.

DO you NEED to take the plants completely out of the soil so that it is just the roots when you put them outside for the winter, and do you need to purify the rain-water before pouring it on the plants?

  3. That is totally up to you. But, if you do leave them outside, but sure to follow the rules for keeping the soil moist.

  4. Should I feed carnivorous plants twice every month or just leave them outside and let them eat whenever they want?
