You’re going to use a compass to figure out the magnetic lines of force from a magnet by mapping the two different poles and how the lines of force connect the two. A magnetic field must come from a north pole of a magnet and go to a south pole of a magnet (or atoms that have turned to the magnetic field.)

Compasses are influenced by magnetic lines of force. These lines are not necessarily straight. When they bend, the compass needle moves. The Earth has a huge magnetic field. The Earth has a weak magnetic force. The magnetic field comes from the moving electrons in the currents of the Earth’s molten core. The Earth has a north and a south magnetic pole which is different from the geographic North and South Pole.

  1. The main way animals grow is by building more cells.

When animals eat food, it gets transformed into either energy for cells or building new cells like muscle cells and skin cells. Scientists consider growth to be when animals eat and break down the food in digestion and use those nutrients to form new tissues it needs inside for cells.

  2. This is a good question, but probably not best asked in the magnetic fields area?

When seeds have a warm environment, air (oxygen), and dirt with minerals in it it can use as nutrients, the seed gets triggered to open and sprout. It will begin to form leaves and roots so it can start to transform the energy from the sun into the food it needs and use the surrounding air to do its photosynthetic processes.
